Reaching Home COVID-19 Emergency Funding Stream
What is it?
Additional funding to support the COVID-19 response capacity and prevent the infection from spreading in the homeless population throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
When is it?
Funding will supplement existing Reaching Home funding starting April 1, 2020 and ending March 31, 2021. Starting now, applications for funding will be assessed on a first come first come basis until the funding is exhausted.
Given the overwhelming response, Friday, May 8th, 2020 will be the 'last call for applications' for the Reaching Home COVID-19 Emergency Funding.
How to know if you are eligible?
The COVID-19 Emergency funding eligibility is governed by a specific COVID-19 directive that allows flexibility in how Reaching Home funding can be used. There are six categories of eligibility:
- Housing Services
- Prevention and Shelter Diversion
- Health and Medical Services (COVID-19 specific)
- Client Support Services
- Capital Investments
- Coordination of Resources and Data Collection
Reaching Home will fund activities that contribute to the objectives of the program while reflecting local realities and community needs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Reaching Home COVID-19 Emergency Funding Application Guide has detailed descriptions of eligible activities included for your reference.
